METHOD (UNDERSTANDING CORNER) - 6TH GRADE

PROJECT – A GUIDE FOR TOURISTS

METHOD (UNDERSTANDING CORNER)

1)   Let’s learn about London! (5th grade blog):

a)        Read ‘London Tour Guide’.
b)       Read ‘London – a city to visit’ and answer the questions (you can print the paper or you can write the answers using a different paper).

2)   Make a lapbook about your city:

Step 1: Your lapbook is about Calahorra.

Step 2: Choose how you’ll make your travel lapbook.
There are lots of different ways you can make your travel lapbook! You could do a giant one on a large piece of paper or maybe a small leaflet that your friends can take away with them.

To make your travel lapbook on paper you’ll need:
  • Paper (colourful paper looks good)
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Pencil colours
  • Pen
  • Maps, photographs...
Step 3: Find things to put in your lapbook.

-          Describe places to visit and things to do (use this grammar: present simple, past simple TO BE, superlatives, comparatives, there is, there are…)

-          Pictures

-          Maps

Step 4: Put it all together!

Step 5: Record yourself explaining your lapbook:

a)   Use your tablet or a mobile phone – Grabadora de voz.

b)   Share the audio with my email address.

Step 6: Send the worksheet ‘London – a city to visit’ with the answers to my email address (you can scan it or take a picture of it and send it).

Paso 7: Scan your ‘lapbook’ or take a picture of it and send it.
